The Roamers JACOB is a proper desert boot in dark brown suede, cut low at the ankle with a round toe and a simple lace-up front. It is the shape that carried the MOD crowd through the sixties and it has not needed changing since, a clean silhouette that sits just as happily with slim trousers as it does with turned-up jeans.

The suede upper is soft from the off and the textile lining keeps things breathable on longer days, while the rubber sole gives a bit of quiet grip underfoot. It comes in a regular width in UK 6 to UK 12, so most feet will find their usual size works well here.

These Desert Boots are no frills and true to the original concept design from WW2. The only slight criticism is the size of the tag at the back top of the boot. If it were slightly bigger, you could get an adult male finger in the loop and it would help with getting them on!
