The Popps 1961 MOD is a men's monkey boot in black suede, an ankle-height lace-up with a round toe and the neat, slightly chunky look that has made monkey boots a mod and casual favourite for decades.

The upper is a burnished suede, which gives the black a slightly weathered, lived-in finish rather than a flat, uniform one. Inside, a textile lining sits against the foot, while the TPR sole keeps things flat underfoot at under 2.5cm, so the boot stays easy to walk in and comfortable through a full day. The lace-up fastening lets you adjust the hold across the instep, and the fit is a regular width.

These black suede monkey boots suit men who want a casual boot that works with jeans, cords or cuffed trousers, whether that is a mod-leaning look or simply something sturdier than a trainer. Confortable shoes, right size. Maybe i found them too much flat, prefering low heel and more thick rubber sole shoes. No need to break in as the leather (?) is really soft. While walking tought an embaracing “yek” hope will stop soon 😆
